The AES Clean Energy finance team seeks an FP&A and Transactions Associate with experience in financial modeling and companywide valuations. This role will interface directly with investors and work very closely with VP of Finance and Investments team.
This role’s duties will be hybrid FP&A and Valuations and in addition to companywide valuation support monthly FP&A process like forecasting and budgeting for newly placed in service assets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads semi-annual corporate valuation modelling
- Models and explains changes in corporate valuation
- Collaborates closely with Valuations and Investments, Project Finance team to maintain high quality corporate model
- Builds expertise about company’s business plan and runs strategic scenario modelling with Sr. Manager’s support
- Preparing the Company’s annual budget and monthly forecasts for assets assigned
- Support strategic planning scenarios for budgets and forecast.
- Support transactions and valuation processes as assigned.
- Support the rest of the DevCo team as needed in times of high volume.

- Experience working with many financial models and integrating them into a corporate model

- Holds themselves to their highest standards and pride in their work
- Comfortable taking initiative and proposing, researching, and socializing solutions

- Self-confident and willing to speak up and challenge leadership when necessary
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ industry related experience in valuation, FP&A, M&A
- Enterprise wide valuation experience
- Sound analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluent in English

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $100,000 and $127,500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
