In this role, you will 

• Guide the development, optimization and scaling up of pipelines and applications across different areas of drug discovery and development 

• Act as a technical lead for one or several small software development projects  

• Prototyping, test and validate novel scientific solutions: algorithms, machine learning models, applications, pipelines and dashboards 

• Extract and aggregate data from various data sources 

• Process, integrate, visualize and model data 

• Build end-to-end pipeline of data processing on regular basis 

Required Experience and Skills:  

• MSc or PhD degree in computer science, software engineering, data science or related field with at least 3 years of experience in developing scientific applications in discovery or clinical development settings 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and high professional standards with strong ability to prioritize and work under pressure 

• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify and explain complex problems to data scientists and software engineers 

• Excellent programming skills in a subset of the following Python, Rust, Java/C++, R/Shiny, Matlab, JS Linux/Unix, SQL and versioning control e.g. Git 

• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience developing machine and deep learning models via Python (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow etc) 

• Significant Experience with HPC, cloud computing (AWS) and distributed computing 

• Experience in the creation of data workflows as well as data analysis and interpretation
