JR47715 External Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Maintain HVM health, manage yield/assembly cycle time and volume commitment/delivery, support out of cycle volume upside
  • Subcon performance management, weekly performance review, subcon scoring, rank and rating, support QA line audit
  • Drive assembly related low yield issues or RMA escalated from test site or customer. Investigate and provide 8D report.    
  • Manage changes (new material, new equipment, new process setting, subcon PCN)
  • Initiate value engineering project. Work with subcon to qualify low cost material, simplify process and qualify new equipment for capacity improvement.
  • Support package TD project in subcon (subcon readiness, inline monitoring the builds, data collection, assembly report). Closely follow up during technology ramp. Write MFG spec, maintain product related documents.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects in subcon assembly processes to improve yield, operational efficiency and productivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/ Electronics / Mechanical or related field
  • 5+ years working in semiconductor industry;
  • Knowledgeable of semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Background of backend assembly or testing process.
  • Demonstrate data analysis and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Good team player with good communication and leadership skills
  • The ability to manage multiple issues and result oriented.
  • Excellent English communication skill
  • Knowledge on JMP, FMEA, QCP (Quality Control Plan), SPC
