Position Description: 

 

Designs and develops Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher RTF Templates -- BI Publisher tools and OBIEE Server. Manipulates XML using XSLT and XPATH. Develops report templates using RichTextFormat (RTF) capabilities within MS Word and MS Excel. Navigates complex XML schemas defined for business entities. Tests and deploys report templates to managed servers. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.  

  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.  

  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.  

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. 

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. 

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.  

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. 

  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. 

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. 

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Chemistry, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing RichTextFormat (RFT) templates of retirement plans (401K and 403b) in a Workplace Investments industry. 

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Chemistry, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing RichTextFormat (RFT) templates of retirement plans (401K and 403b) in a Workplace Investments industry. 

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and designing contract management systems using RTF template capabilities in Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher, based on business requirements and architecture standards; and presenting designs to business stakeholders and IT architects 

  • DE manipulating XML reusable code using XSLT and XPATH with BI Publisher's XDO Programming Model to integrate BI publisher (BI Publisher Public Report Web Services) as a stand alone application with external platforms; and modularizing objects for reusability using XSL, Java Extensions, and RTF Sub templates 

  • DE developing Java middle-tier applications to update configuration data within an Oracle environment, using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks; and performing continuous integration (using Jenkins) and project build management (using Maven).  

  • DE automating build and deployment of containerized applications onto Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cloud platform using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and integrating with python/shell scripts.
