Pfizer is hiring a Passionate, Talented, Innovative Sr Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) in Oncology Medical Affairs Department.

The hiring of the Sr MAS Oncology, Pipeline fits the iTALent purpose, providing a rare growth and development opportunity to lead scientific innovation in our Oncology Therapeutic Areas.

The Sr MAS Oncology Pipeline will report to the Italy Oncology Medical Director.

The Sr MAS will join Oncology Medical Team and will be responsible for Pipeline in Italy.

Will have direct relationships with healthcare professionals and research centers focused on increasing quality of partnerships to share the common final objective: patient’s health improvement.

Key Experience Offer of this Role

The candidate will acquire experience in:

  • Leading the conversation to positively influence the external environment and help patients living with cancer developing local medical strategy

  • Glocal Member, scientific and clinical support to Global team

  • Work independently. Receives instruction primarily on unusual situations. Ability to organize tasks, time and priorities of self and others; ability to multi-task.

  • Transforming our “go to market model”: act as critical change agent leveraging on medical and scientific capabilities to lead acceleration of new capabilities, including digital and multi-channel medical.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest scientific standards during in/external activities to provide deep medical and scientific expertise

  • Work with MAS Line Managers Oncology and Global team to coordinate the relevant activities aimed at developing and increasing capability of customer facing and omnichannel approach including digital tools across Oncology Medical Team in Italy

  • Establish a strong collaborative scientific relationship with relevant stakeholders in the assigned area (KOLs, medical societies, and other relevant internal/external stakeholders)

  • Integrate customer medical insights into the country medical and brand strategy, provide medical and scientific strategic support to the regional medical team, medical leadership to the country brand team, country and / or local XFTs, drive implementation of the country medical plan.

  • Contribute to the implementation of local medical strategies and life cycle clinical plans for relevant TAs

  • Provide scientific and medical data to leading health professionals and decision-makers to ensure safe, proper, and effective uses of assigned products, contributing to patients (and populations) health and well-being

  • Observe compliance rules, ensuring activities and communications are conducted in compliance with all policies, guidelines, and regulation and ensure the respect of medical independence  

What You Offer

  • Medicine degree is required

  • Specialty training or PhD (Oncology is strongly preferred), academic experience or clinical experience

  • > 5 years pharmaceutical company is required

  • Experience in conducting clinical research activities is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of clinical development processes

  • Project management skills  

  • General knowledge in the relevant Therapeutic Area is preferred

  • Fluent English in addition to local language

  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
