Function Mandate:

The mission of the Transit Project & Contract Management (TP&CM) consists in delivering Customer projects in line with Stakeholder commitments within the Transit OEM and Services Product Lines.

The TP&CM is responsible for the following main tasks;

  • the efficient Project & Portfolio execution across the Project Life Cycle spanning from Bids, Execution and until end of Warranty.

  • to mobilize and manage the cross-Functional Project Teams to harmonize and achieve the project QCDC objectives. (Internal)

  • to manage and complete all Customer requirements and deliverables as per Contractual obligations and local regulation. (External)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Project Management (PM) and Contract Management (CM) across all Product Lines (PLs).

  • Act as Global PMO liaison interface between the PLs Project Mgt. Teams and other Functions (Governance, Audit, Reviews). Provides accurate and timely escalation on critical points for the entire Transit Project Portfolio on critical Functional Topics.

  • Supporting with Customer interface for special Project Governance & Reviews.

  • Contribute to the consolidated Transit Project Portfolio Performances (Technical, Operational & Financials) and escalation process.

  • On critical Programs, contributes within the Project Core Team on achieving our Contractual Obligations and Stakeholder Commitments. Provides accurate and timely escalation on critical points for all Transit critical Project Execution Topics (Technical, Commercial, Financial, Customer).

  • Contributes to the Transit Bid Preparation & Approval Process.

  • Responsible for the Consolidated Transit Project & Claim Portfolio Governance, Meetings and Reviews. Contribute for the Project Claim (offensive and defensive) across all Product Lines.

  • Responsible to interface with Corporate PM-CM Governance and comply to our Project Financial Reporting requirements.

  • Responsible to maintain a strong PM Network community across all Product Lines and contributes to PM Training and Coaching across the Transit PL’s and Project Core Teams.

  • Responsible for the Transit Project Management Processes and Tools excellence program.

Key KPI:

  • Customer On-Time-delivery (C-OTD) for Non-recurring and Recurring project phases.

  • Project Gate-OTD across the Project ETO Phases (NTP/Launch, Design, Pre-series, Serial, Warranty).
  • Project and Portfolio Estimate At Completion (EAC) CM Evolution (As Sold, Approved, Proposed, Projected, Risk & Opportunities and Contract Margin Improvement Plan).

Skills/ Background Requirements:

  • Autonomous working style combined with proven functional leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in complex project portfolio execution environment within an international context.

  • Strong in applying Project Execution standards and techniques, knowledge and processes, mixed with prior experience in a hands-on environment.

  • Very good communication and presentation skills, combined with strong analytics and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Thorough financial understanding incl. project accounting practices (EAC, R&O, POC and Delivery, etc.).

  • Understanding of the Wabtec/Transit business operating model would be an additional asset.

  • Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Suits (Excel, PowerPoint, Words, Project), Oracle ERPs, CRM and Financial Reporting Systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Sound financial budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting skills
  • Strong competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
