Troy & Heights Animal Hospital is actively looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and Troy & Heights Animal Hospital team. A positive and motivating attitude is a must. This candidate would be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, monitoring surgery patients, surgical recovery, drawing blood and running bloodwork, placing IV catheters, knowledge of x-ray and proper positioning, experience with in-clinic laboratory equipment, comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint, understand the importance of client education and is a positive and supportive team player. One year of previous experience is required. Pay Range: $23 - $26 (based on experience)

Requirements:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician, license must be current
  • 1+ years of prior veterinary experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Proficient in technical skills
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Positive team player willing to continue to learn
  • Saturdays are a rotating shift 8 am-1 pm every other Saturday
  • Must be able to work different shifts, day, night, and some Saturday morning
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
