Role Title: Wrapping Machine Minder
Salary: £23,714.65
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-3:45pm, Friday 6:30am-11:30am (37 hours)
Location: Wigston

What will this role achieve?
Wrapping Machine Minders are accountable for product and process delivery. They will work closely with the ATM regarding any issues that they come across to achieve the production plan that ensure customer supply. The role will require flexibility and good communication skills. All training will be given.
What will be your key deliverables?
Carry out all pre-start checks
Ensure product is made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughout
Understand equipment and machinery set up
Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure
Ensure any re-work procedures are followed
Ensure product is to correct quality and specification, make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistency
Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard
Always maintain everyday factory standards safely
Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda
Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required
Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance
Ensure team understand the planning of their daily tasks
Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues
Essential
Basic numerical and literacy knowledge
Manual dexterity
Basic communication skills
Basic problem recognition
Ownership essential. Must be accountable for own work and area.
Supportive within the team.
Be able to multi-task.
Desirable
Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.
Knowledge of manufacturing environment
Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)
