Micron's Facilities Team is looking for an experienced HVAC Operations Technician to work in our new wafer fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.

As an HVAC Operations Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the operation of mechanical and HVAC systems. Systems include but are not limited to chiller plant, compressed air, heating water, cooling water, process exhaust, cleanroom HVAC, and general building HVAC. This covers turning equipment on and off so maintenance can be performed. This position will work closely with trades maintenance technicians to ensure systems are accurately maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various rounds and readings

  • System and alarm monitoring

  • Alarm and failure response

  • Working with ERT as first responders

  • Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards

  • Able to understand P&ID drawings, one-line diagrams, and the ability to troubleshoot faults and alarms

  • Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment

  • Provide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible, in the event of a system failure

  • Identify and respond according to alarm conditions

  • Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues

  • Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability

  • Maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of industry or related field experience and/or equivalent experience and/or military training/experience

  • Able to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and rotate from days to nights every 4 months

Preferred qualifications:

  • Valid HVAC license

  • 5 years experience
