To ensure that the facilities and the staff are prepared for servicing of patient's needs & requirements.

A Duty Roster is prepared monthly ensuring the efficient operation of the facilities. Requisition forms are collected from Nurses station and catering requests are submitted to the Kitchen daily

Ensure that employees are properly uniformed daily. Ensure that the correct catering order including special dietary meals are checked before dispatching to the Patients.

All required equipment needed for the operation are requisitioned from the Storeroom

Liaise with the Dietician & Nurses any special meal request.

Conduct briefing at the beginning of each shift with Food Service Porters and advise of the day’s activities

Request tray set up (TSU) stock from stores clerk as necessary for day’s patient care tray setups

Additional functions to be performed as needed:

                                               

Attend developmental leadership training to assist in boosting management skills

Keep abreast of industry knowledge and trends by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations. Handle any customer complaints
