The team: 

Our Sales team gains an understanding of who our customers are, what their businesses do, and how Jobber can help them succeed, to turn leads into advocates.

They all have an incredible passion for sales, our customer, and a connection to our purpose. This team is focused on delivering on the promise to make small businesses more successful, and they celebrate, motivate, and challenge each other daily. They also want to see each other be successful, through regular 1:1’s which focus on performance, coaching, and long-term development, and consistent feedback on how you can continue to grow.

The role:

Reporting to the Manager, Expansion, the Account Executive, Existing Business will play a significant role in continuing to develop the trust we have with small businesses in our journey to power the world of mobile services. Our Account Managers are proactive in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through upselling and cross-selling additional features and products, strengthening the connection that have with Jobber.

The Account Executive, Existing Business will: 

  • Customer Expansion: Manage a dynamic funnel of existing customers, using Salesforce to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional features and products that can enhance their business success with Jobber.
  • Proactive Engagement: Regularly connect with customers to provide tailored recommendations on how to better utilize Jobber’s offerings, including encouraging upgrades to their subscriptions or adding online payments software.
  • Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth through a high-energy approach to selling in a fast-paced environment with a relatively short sales cycle.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments to communicate customer feedback, contributing to the development of initiatives, products, and campaigns.
  • Data Tracking: Maintain detailed records in Salesforce for accurate follow-up and analytics, ensuring all customer interactions are documented and accessible.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Sales Experience: Proven experience in an outbound sales environment, especially with a focus on commission-based or target-driven roles. Be ready to discuss your success in previous positions.
  • High Energy & Drive: Thrive in a dynamic setting with the enthusiasm to pursue uncapped earning potential. The role requires resilience and the ability to bounce back quickly from setbacks.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Be resourceful in finding solutions and handling unique customer interactions with agility and creativity.
  • Adaptability: The sales landscape at Jobber is constantly evolving. You should be comfortable with change and able to adapt to new strategies and systems.
  • Passion for Technology: Share our excitement for mobile technology and the impact it can have on small businesses.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong and confident communication abilities, with a focus on active listening and consulting. A significant portion of this role involves phone interactions, making these skills essential.
  • CRM Proficiency: Previous experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is crucial, with a preference for familiarity with Salesforce.
