What You Will Do:

Raytheon is conducting search for a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering within Operations and the Manufacturing Design & Central Services (MDCS) Process Engineering Team.

As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering you’re the producibility expert and the approving authority for the associated manufacturing process. You’re responsible for the technical quality of engineering tasks and ensuring that proper processes and technical oversight are completed. You’ll also support proposal activities and provide cost estimates for program bids and fiscal year planning.
 

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Providing employee coaching, mentoring, training and performance development for a team of 15-20 Process Engineers and Technical Leads
  • Managing staffing levels and employee hiring
  • Providing technical guidance and problem solving to other organizations
  • Chairing the Process Control Board as the producibility expert
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise in Process Engineering processes and procedures
  • Leading/participating in Root Cause and Corrective action investigations
  • Leading/participating in strategic improvement projects across all make centers
  • Providing technical problem solving expertise through engineering aptitude and analytical skills
  • Developing influential relationships with internal customers
  • Customer and Company orientation with a drive to meet or exceed expectations
     

This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or test environment
  • Experience leading teams and/or projects
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Clearance (ATF)


Qualifications We Prefer 

  • Experience with chemical/material management and material testing requirements
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Proven Leadership and Shop Floor Management qualities
  • Experience with applying Lean Manufacturing principles in the manufacturing life cycle
  • Experience with Quality Systems and their application
  • Ability to network within RTX

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
