Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Works closely for the strategy development of communications, program management and events planning. Strategic, tactical, and administrative leader responsible for developing and conveying message to its employees, expanding the organization's use of digital capabilities (IntraSites & SharePoint) to showcase new & relevant content, engaging stakeholders and continuing to establish the business unit across the enterprise. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Consult, develop & lead the design and execution of event planning – recognition events, quarterly town halls, volunteer day, and leadership meetings – including being directly responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements, championing the improvements through the approval process and implementing them on a consistent basis.
  • Consult, develop and execute multi-faceted, multi-channel communication strategies to drive culture, awareness, and engagement across the organization.
  • Serve as point of contact for all communication needs and initiatives within the business unit, including communication support and responses for events, announcements, and business meetings.
  • Consult, develop and lead the online management and communications of internal intranet site - including content development, updates and identification of opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Serve as a liaison for the team and communicate regularly on changes, opportunities or trends.
  • Lead the organization and execution of business unit meetings and communicate the status of key business activities across departmental teams and to internal business partners.

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, or related field 
  • 8+ years of experience in event planning, strategic communications, and/ or relationship management or related

Preferred Qualifications 

If we had our say, we’d also look for: 

  • Internal event planning experience in a corporate setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels in the organization

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
