Position Summary

The Training Coordinator position has an important role in the hiring ramp and readiness of technical staff to meet the challenges of our Samsung Austin Semiconductor expansion projects. The Training Coordinator is an embedded member of the department they support and administers the technical training and certification programs to ensure training targets are achieved. The Training Coordinator interfaces with cross-functional project teams, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and leaders to identify deliverables, establish timelines and resource allocation, and conduct evaluation measures to determine effectiveness.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Administer a multi-faceted training program that incorporates instructor-led training, computer-based training, and practical skill demonstration to achieve certification.

  • Create and manage training schedules, track and create reports on outcomes of all training, and maintain training records for the department.

  • Process training requests, conduct needs analysis, and resolve alignment with the business needs of the stakeholders.

  • Communicate program activities and progress to leaders, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Seek and gather information from management, employees and other departments regarding the effectiveness of completed training courses and drive continuous improvement activities.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and assist in the development of new and improved training content.

  • Promote the integration of programs into site processes.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Associates degree and UP.  Advanced project management skills, Project Management credentials or similar preferred. 

  • 2+ years of experience as a training coordinator.

  • Highly capable in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes also required.

  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.

  • High level of initiative and desire to learn..

  • Strong organization skills able to coordinate large training projects.

  • Successful candidates will be detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, team work and flexibility.

  • Ability to meet due dates for action items.

  • Successful candidates will strictly adhere to rules and systems.

  • Reliable and punctual attendance required.

  • Basic understanding of technical concepts such as hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.

  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
