Position: PLC Technician

Pay:  $500 sign-on bonus opportunity + bonuses 

Shifts: Night Shift (6pm-6am includes a shift differential/hour) 

As a PLC Technician, you will help transform our greater St. Louis area bakery at Nature’s Bakery, one of the fastest growing and most loved brands in our category.  The transformation is enabled through significant investments in our existing “classic” production lines, as well as recently installed state-of-the-art production and packaging equipment.   

Our staged transition toward a world-class maintenance program to support our operations will provide you with the opportunity to help install and maintain our physical assets, and then adopt and implement reliability programs to sustain their operational excellence.  All maintenance roles offer high-visibility and high-impact opportunities.  Proven maintenance leaders, experienced outside contractors, and a high-performing, tenured team of technicians will support your success onsite. 

All candidates, however, should have basic understanding in automated industrial machinery, which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, etc. and hydraulic and pneumatic systems; packaging, conveyance, liquid and powder manufacturing equipment and processes; PLC trouble shooting; electrical and mechanical drawings; installation and troubleshoot basic three phase motor control circuits; and breakdown analysis as well as the following:

  • Reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of programming languages relevant to PLCs.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLC controls, networking, and HMI systems.
  • Initiate and develop control system modifications and new projects to improve plant performance and reliability.
  • Knowledge of Wiring, Hydraulic Systems, and Pneumatic Systems.

  • You’ll work around moving machines – mixers, conveyor belts, and forklifts.
  •  Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, walking around, or climbing stairs.
  •  We are climate controlled. When the weather outside is undesirable, the temperature inside our facility is controlled, so you stay safe and comfortable.
  • Dress code. Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.
