Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for the strategic planning, selection, and management of products to ensure alignment with company goals and market trends. This role involves analyzing sales data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and executing merchandising strategies that drive revenue growth and customer engagement.

This is a Hybrid Role at our HQ office in Salt Lake City, UT, with an expectation of being in office 2-3 days a week, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute product assortment strategies that align with sales goals, seasonal trends, and customer preferences. 

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies that support company objectives. 

  • Leverage historical sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to forecast product demand and make informed assortment decisions. 

  • Continuously analyze product performance, identify gaps in the assortment, and recommend strategies to maximize sales potential. 

  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory teams to maintain an optimal stock level, reducing out-of-stock situations while avoiding excess inventory. 

  • Conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities. 

  • Assist in product selection, pricing strategies, and SKU management. 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales, to optimize product performance and ensure seamless execution. 

  • Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and manage purchasing processes. 

  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to maximize sales and minimize stock risks. 

  • Assist in the development of promotional plans and seasonal product launches. 

  • Collaborate on visual merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation. 

  • Track key performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement. 

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to conceptualize, design, and execute exclusive product collaborations and time-limited offers that drive excitement, enhance brand appeal, and generate customer engagement, while aligning with overall sales and marketing objectives. 

Education and Skill Requirements

  • This is a Hybrid Role at our HQ office in Salt Lake City, UT, with an expectation of being in office 2-3 days a week, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field preferred. 

  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, or category management. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Experience in retail, eCommerce, or consumer goods preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work

  • Light to moderate lifting is required

  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).

  • Ability to work in a confined area.

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
