About This Role
In the Crew Lead role, you will lead a residential solar installation crew to install rooftop solar systems. The Crew Lead functions as the electrical expert on-site and ensures that all electrical systems are installed within code parameters while providing leadership to the installation crew.
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the installation of residential solar panels while providing electrical expertise to the crew and adhering to project timelines
Ensure a quality installation while following design specifications
Provide leadership to the solar installation crew along with the Roof Lead and Installation Manager
Maintain compliance with company guidelines and principles as well as governmental regulations
Uphold polite and professional communication with the customer
Troubleshoot PV systems and resolve electrical issues
Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations
Submit and fill out paperwork required for the installation
Keep a neat and orderly job site
Maintain compliance with all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards
Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician license within the local state where required
Experience with residential solar preferred
Experience in leading residential electrical services
Experience reading and interpreting one-line drawings and electrical schematics
Understanding of NEC codes
Capability to work safely on a roof
Ability to lift and move up to 40 to 50 lbs
This is a driving required position and you must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for insurability
Minimum 25% travel required

Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like
Able to engage in repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Comfortable working on the roof or in small, enclosed spaces
Operate machinery and/or power tools
Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment when required
