In Business Banking (BB) Technology, we provide technology solutions to Business Banking domains across Business Banking and CommSec. You will be part of the BB Technology, the Customer Channel and Data Domain where we are focusing on technology enablement of digital engagement channels, contributing to strategic BB and Customer NPS +30 outcomes.

Here, you will bring a perfect blend of people management and technical expertise and will be responsible in shaping the evolution of the technical squad by contributing to the technology strategy.

You’ll play an important role in steering the organisation by providing expert advice and hands-on delivery relating to technology including drafting quarterly crew memos, prioritising backlog, defining delivery roadmaps, solution design, architecture and deciding which problems to invest in solving. 

We’re interested in hearing from people who 

  • Have demonstrable experience in leading high-performing cross-functional engineering teams with a solid hands-on technical background

  • Are confident and effective communicators encouraging risk-taking and constructively challenges the status quo while influencing stakeholders

  • Are knowledgeable communicating engineering practice standards and consistent ways of working across squads and CBA that align to global best practice.

  • Have solid hands-on experience working with Co-pilot studio, Messaging/Chatbots, PowerApps, Power Automate, Azure Data Factory and Power BI

  • Pride themselves on their true DevSecOps mindset with the ability in leading engineers and directly instilling a growth mindset and innovative ways of working

  • Are constantly promoting open communication and create a safe working environment where our engineers’ voices are heard

  • Are confident through their technical leadership experience in digital channels and customer experience in building diverse and inclusive teams

Tech skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

  • Leading application development using C#, .NET Core, TypeScript, React, Python, APIs and Databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo DB and Aurora.

  • Co-pilot studio, Messaging/Chatbots, PowerApps, Power Automate, Azure Data Factory and Power BI

  • Building data integration, microservices and workflow automation on AWS cloud platforms

  • Driving adoption of automation testing tools such as PlayWright, Selenium, JMeter and Perfecto

  • DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging and monitoring tools (TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Snyk and Sonarqube)

  • Enhance and support AI capabilities in the flow of work (Example: Call Transcripts and Creation of Customer Interaction records)

  • AI Integration and Large Language Models (LLMs)
