Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Position Responsibilities 

  • Participate actively in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements footnotes, and other disclosures (such as operating metrics) that are filled with the CNBV rules. 

  • Assist with the quarterly and annual disclosure filings.

  • Interact with senior management and management of other areas/functions of the company. 

  • Maintain and improve documentation of existing accounting policies to be compliant with Prologis requirements. 

  • Make suggested improvements to existing processes and assist with implementation. 

  • Assist in the research and documentation of accounting issues.

  • Document business transactions.

  • Develop a strong grasp of Prologis’ business fundamentals and use that to frame project alignment with Prologis business goals. Develop effective relationships with the global accounting team.

  • Assist in special projects as necessary. 

  • Principal responsibility for scoping, managing and communicating about global accounting projects and participating in all phases of the visioning, planning, development and integration lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting (large public accounting firm a plus), with significant exposure to SEC reporting, or similar experience within a large corporate enterprise.

  • Working knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP and BMV regulations.

  • Intermediate skills in the functions of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point mainly).

  • Knowledge in Real Estate, Accounting, Finance and Operations.

  • Fluent English.

  • Strong work ethics with demonstrated ability to research and solve complex issues in a collaborative manner.

  • Highly detail oriented with a strong ability to multi-task.

  • Demonstrated ability to show strong initiative while working independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in Global Operations is highly desirable but not required.
