The Service Parts NPI Sourcing Lead is a key contributor to the success of new product introductions at Polaris. This role ensures that service parts are fully identified, sourced, packaged, and stocked ahead of product launches—maximizing sales opportunities and enhancing customer satisfaction.

As a strategic partner across Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, and Purchasing, the Sourcing Lead drives in-stock readiness and supports Polaris’s reputation for reliability and exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of sourcing and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage service parts to ensure they are identified early in the NPI process and set up completely prior to handing off to Purchasing, including:

  • Supplier selection and onboarding

  • Negotiated Costs are quoted and loaded

  • Negotiated Minimum order quantities (MOQs) are defined and loaded

  • Lead times and delivery schedules are understood and loaded

  • Packaging requirements for customer sale are approved

  • Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely ordering and stocking of service parts at distribution centers to meet or exceed launch readiness metrics.

  • Monitor and report on service part readiness metrics and launch performance.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers, making suppliers aware of service part expectations.

  • Stay informed on supplier manufacturing capabilities and emerging technologies to support strategic sourcing decisions.

  • Drive continuous improvement in service part launch processes and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or product launch roles, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer products environment.

  • Strong understanding of sourcing principles, supplier management, and inventory planning.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product development, and operations teams.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PLM systems is a plus.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $75,000 to $99,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.  While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
