Contract: Permanent    

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 hrs per day, 8-4pm but can be flexible on the start times

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Pilot Plant Technician to support laboratory and pilot plant activities within our Process Development team. You’ll play a key role in new product introductions, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring smooth scale‑up to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous chemicals safely and follow all EHS requirements.
• Maintain and validate lab and pilot plant equipment.
• Support lab trials, scale‑up activities, and technical investigations.
• Carry out final testing for new product introductions (NPIs).
• Manage raw materials/consumables for NPIs.
• Accurately complete batch sheets and technical documentation.
• Contribute to 5S and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and R&T teams.

What We’re Looking For

• A‑Level in Science or BTEC/NVQ/HND in Laboratory Science (or equivalent).
• Experience in a lab or technical environment.
• Strong EHS and quality focus.
• Good teamwork, communication, and organisation skills.
• Experience with epoxy/MMA systems is an advantage.
• High attention to detail; a completer–finisher mindset.
• Experience working within Quality Control environments.
• IT proficiency, ideally including SAP and Microsoft Office.
