Job Description:

SCOPE: Coordinates patient care requests which occur by phone for all physicians & serves as a resource to staff. Processes pharmacy calls & refills. Reviews physician orders & handles those orders sent to the Case Manager (i.e., home health, hospice, hospital, etc).  Handles all emergency calls coming in on the emergency line in addition to handling all calls which come to the nurses line. Document all phone calls received (utilize assessment when appropriate [symptom toxicity, Coumadin, etc]). Serves as a liaison between physician & other facilities & also a liaison between physician and patient.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Nursing diploma (LPN) from approved program
Oncology experience preferred    

LPN, CPR required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing required, oncology experience preferred.
