The Receiving/Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the recieving team and storeroom clerks.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Receiving/Warehousing team and Mechanical Storeroom Clerks.

  • Manage, execute and oversees the procurement and inventory levels of MRO and Operating supplies.

  • Supports engineering, maintenance and facilities by the purchase and management of specialty supplies.

  • Conduct and manage cost savings projects.

  • Manage vendor relationships and supervise VMI programs with various companies.

  • Support Accounting by managing and assisting with AP/ESKERS issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field and 2+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.  

  • Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project

  • Proven cost savings history within purchasing, preferred. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).

  • Prior SAP experience, preferred

  • Must have good planning, organizational and execution skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and established goals and objectives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have strong negotiation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, works well with others, respectful of all team members, good time management skills

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and guidance to employees within the Receiving and Storeroom departments

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.

  • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant.  The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.

  • Frequently required to sit; stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
