Summary: The Platform Management Consultant will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and maintenance of QRadar, Splunk, and Hadoop platforms. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of security analytics and data processing environments. Roles & Responsibilities: QRadar SIEM • Administer and maintain QRadar infrastructure (console, event collectors, flow processors) • Integrate log sources and tune correlation rules and offenses • Perform health checks, upgrades, and patch management • Support incident response and forensic investigations using QRadar data Splunk • Manage Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud environments • Develop and optimize dashboards, alerts, and reports for security and operational use cases • Onboard data sources and configure parsing, indexing, and search performance • Implement role-based access controls and app integrations Hadoop Platform • Administer Hadoop clusters (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) for big data analytics • Monitor cluster health, resource utilization, and job performance • Ensure data ingestion pipelines are secure, reliable, and scalable • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams for platform enhancements General Responsibilities • Ensure platform security, compliance, and audit readiness • Automate routine tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, Shell) • Maintain documentation including SOPs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks • Provide L2/L3 support and mentor junior platform engineers • Collaborate with SOC, data science, and infrastructure teams Required Skills & Experience • 5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, SIEM, or big data platform management • Hands-on experience with QRadar, Splunk, and Hadoop ecosystem • Strong understanding of log management, data parsing, and threat detection • Experience with Linux administration, networking, and system performance tuning • Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, Shell) for automation and troubleshooting Professional & Technical Skills: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field • Preferred certifications: o IBM QRadar Certified Deployment Professional o Splunk Certified Power User / Admin o Hortonworks/Cloudera Certified Administrator o CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent Additional Information: • Experience with cloud-native SIEM and big data platforms (Azure Sentinel, AWS EMR, GCP BigQuery) • Exposure to SOAR platforms and threat intelligence integrations • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
