Job Description

Report to the Compliance Director and help AMGEN China Business Units/functions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry codes as well as internal policies and procedures in achieving business strategies and goals. This dynamic position will provide compliance advice and support on a variety of healthcare and anti-corruption compliance matters. As a compliance professional, the Manager is expected to monitor the external environment - ensuring Amgen’s risks are proactively managed and its compliance program continues to meet the highest standards. This position also follows the Worldwide Compliance & Business Ethics Department’s program, implementing and customizing global compliance programs for AMGEN China. This position will be responsible for implementing compliance-related activities, provided by the Compliance Director. Flexibility to travel domestically is required.

Responsibilities:

Provide the effective oversight of country compliance objectives in line with country compliance strategies by championing ethical tone and culture campaigns throughout the organization:

  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to the affiliate staff on interpretation and implementation of the local Code of Conduct & legislation and Amgen policies & procedures for the assigned Business Unit and functions.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable laws and regulations in the country and keep current with changes that may affect AMEN China’s compliance program.
  • Drive the implementation of Corporate Compliance programs in the country.
  • Lead the effective deployment of training and education programs of International/local Healthcare Compliance and Amgen compliance procedures and translate to local language.
  • Evaluate the need for, develop and ensure implementation of defined local compliance procedures together with the Compliance Director.
  • Develop training programs and materials for the local Code and Amgen local procedures and provide, record, track local trainings.
  • Organize and support Compliance Forums (e.g., agenda setup, minutes, follow-up actions) as well as Funding Review Committee.  
  • Support assurance activities (i.e., Corporate Audits and Monitoring) and investigations by serving as local point of contact, coordinating data collection and interviews (if needed), supporting follow-ups, etc.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring including compliance dashboard, non-compliance/aging report etc. and report-out with key findings and assist RAEs follow up.
  • Lead or support new compliance programs/initiatives including C3, digital innovation, process optimizations etc.
  • Support Compliance Lead and business team to develop basic due diligence process for local market and help the business to ensure that necessary due diligence conducted in critical and high-risk tier of activities.
  • Supporting privacy and data security matters as necessary.
  • Supporting contract sales/co-promote business partner review with respects to compliance oversight.
