The process owner is responsible for managing a set of like capabilities globally that support TransUnion Business Customers or internal business partners. The Process Owner will be a key point of contact between the technology teams, journey owners and operations stakeholders. This individual will drive the roadmap for their capability set to deliver maximum value while remaining synchronized with the overall operations strategy. This associate will be responsible for driving the successful execution of projects and change initiatives, including stakeholder management for a select group of processes.
This individual will work within multiple evolving development methodologies including iterative Agile and sequential Waterfall programs and projects. The process owners will serve as the day-to-day decision maker and provide continual business guidance for the development teams.
The Process Owner will prioritize the execution team's work so that it aligns with the Journey Owner and/or business unit strategies. This Associate will lead, manage and orchestrate activities for completion and proper documentation of business requirements while also validating metrics as appropriate for methodology and enterprise controls.
What You'll Bring:
- At least three years of experience as a product or process manager.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex cross-functional initiatives and technologies to business stakeholders (which includes team members throughout TransUnion)
- Ability to construct and document streamlined, standard, measurable processes leveraging Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience with Salesforce requirements gathering or willingness to learn salesforce standards.
- Ability to clearly articulate business needs and goals to implementation teams and to establish priorities across multiple business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, ability to deliver in an agile environment.
- Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve.
Impact You'll Make:
- Serves as the team’s primary (but not only) conduit to the journey owners or internal business partner(s). Works with multiple business, IT and Product stakeholders. Works very comfortably with stakeholders at the department or regional level.
- Ensure that requirements meet the complex global nature of the business while always taking into account the end-to-end impact of any changes.
- Partners with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT to facilitate, define and document relevant business processes, while also gaining a proficient understanding of the business strategy, needs, measures, risks and controls for the improvement area.
- Establish metrics to manage and track benefits, adoption and risks to operations.
- Communicates delivery scope, status and questions back to journey owners and program leadership.
- Manage and communicate tradeoff decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles).
- Works with the SCRUM team in planning and execution of their work.
- Identifies opportunities for process optimization, process redesign or development of new processes/policies.
- Manages, prioritizes and assesses the impact of all work items, such as new features, defects, etc., including providing the decision to create, fix or defer at the project level.
- Reviews, accepts and prioritizes feedback and new requirements from stakeholders.
- Prepares the business for the change and arms them with tactics and metrics for benefits, adoption and risk.
- Work with development and operational teams to ensure that they understand the vision for the Process and how it aligns to the journeys.
- Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Act as an ambassador for the process internally and as the primary contact for queries related to the process.
This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
