Job Summary

The Driver is primarily responsible for delivering infusion medications, supplies, and equipment to patients in their homes. This role involves picking and packing supplies and equipment, receiving orders from vendors, putting stock away, and handling equipment pick-ups when patients discontinue service. Additionally, the Driver is responsible for cleaning, testing, and restocking equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Participate within the department to meet objectives.
  • Adhere to behavior and performance expectations outlined in the department’s mission.
  • Contribute to individual and departmental objectives related to Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Growth, and Financial Success.
  • Utilize effective patient communication skills, considering specific age, cultural, or developmental needs.
  • Deliver clean equipment to patients, providing a brief explanation of proper usage. This includes scheduling, routing, and phoning clients.
  • Perform pick-up, sanitary cleaning, testing, and adjustments of returned equipment.
  • Receive merchandise from the warehouse and vendors, assemble new equipment, and handle stocking and picking and packing of patient supplies.
  • Complete vehicle maintenance checklists and perform cleaning as required.

Qualifications:

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • LIC-Chauffeur License (State of Michigan) upon hire.
