Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced MRI Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging office in Silver Spring, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an MRI Tech you will:
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating MRI scanners and all ancillary equipment. Must be able to train all new employees in their use. Properly identifies and performs MRI safety procedures on all patients including those with implantable devices.
• Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identifies contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions.
• Accurately document MRI exams, contrast administration and other relevant information in the EMR, PACS, HConnect and other systems as necessary.
• Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing patient load using the one MRI scanner including the transport of patients when necessary.
• Collaborate with coworkers, radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, other departments to ensure best patient care possible.
• Perform periodic QA procedures as necessary
• Contribute to the time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments according to hospital standards.
• Participate in PI projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
• High school or GED required
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography
• 1 year scanning experience; Three years’ experience in MRI preferred
• IV Certification preferred
• ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Variable Part- Time as needed; Cardiac and Breast experience preferred

Pay Range:

$37.17 - $55.76

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
