What this role is all about:
As an AI Software Engineer Intern, you will join our Internship program and work on real, data‑driven problems that directly impact our products and users. You will gain hands‑on experience across the full AI engineering lifecycle, from data processing and model experimentation to building production‑ready AI services. 

You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and product teams, learning how modern AI systems are built, evaluated, and scaled in a business environment.

What you’ll do

• Build and experiment with AI/ML solutions using Python, Jupyter, and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face Transformers to name a few.
• Develop production‑ready services in Python, building scalable and maintainable APIs with FastAPI.
• Work with large datasets and learn the end‑to‑end flow of data collection, manipulation, and usage. 
• Design and build agentic workflows using LLMs, tools, and APIs (agents, tool use, orchestration frameworks, etc.)
• Integrate with leading AI providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source models) for text, image, and multimodal use cases.
• Apply best practices in context engineering, evaluation, and model iteration.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Use tools such as Git, Conda, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins to put your code into action. 
• Work in agile teams and learn agile development methodologies.

What makes you a strong fit

• Final‑year student in a relevant field (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.) 
• Strong interest in both AI as a technology from a theoretical viewpoint and its real-world applications.
• Comfortable working with Python and eager to learn modern AI/ML and data engineering tools. 
• Able to work full‑time on‑site during the internship program. 
• Fluent in English, at a conversational level.
• Available to start with internship on July 6th, 2026.
• You hold valid student rights from „Studentski Centar“ throughout the entire internship period (6 months).

Nice‑to‑have qualifications:

• Experience with advanced context engineering practices, RAG, and AI agents in general.
• Familiarity with vector databases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms.
• GitHub profile with projects to showcase. 
• Participation in student projects, Kaggle competitions, hackathons, workshops, or similar activities. 
• Previous internship experience. 
• Availability to continue working full‑time after completing the internship.
