Sensormatic Electronics, LLC seeks Data Engineer – SRE at its facility located at 6600 Congress Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33487.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Design and build machine learning and Data Analysis systems that solve difficult problems involving big data, information retrieval, and recommendation systems. Provide creative and useful analysis for the retail customers and find data that is predictive for retail businesses. Ability to understand what moves the needle for the customers and explore data that could be helpful, and able to do this without much direction. Ability to find, source, and store unique data sets that may be useful for analysis such as go get Google Analytics data and add it to the model. Design and build data analysis environment with Big Data, Relational and other relevant technologies. Deploy models for production for use by the applications. Ensure that models are shipped to production and available to other teams. Define the data architecture and database designs across the platform components. Develop test cases and perform quality assurance on the data pipelines, model performance and retraining workflows. Assist SRE with building deployment frameworks for release management of the databases, systems, and models. Build and execute Quality Assurance tests and validate data integrity across the systems. Telecommuting: 4 days of telecommuting per week permitted.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field plus 3 years of experience as a Computer Engineer, Python Engineer, or related occupation in the predictive model development field. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:(1) Cloud Platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Azure Cloud Service, or Amazon Web Services); (2) Utilizing coding language such as Python or Java; (3) Linux server and SQL database management; (4) CI/CD principles and practices; (5) Database architecture handling large data sets such as Cloud ML, Big Query, and Data Proc; and (6) Big Data Frameworks such as Hadoop (HBase, Hive, Pig) and Spark.
