Public Cloud Engineer
We are seeking a Public Cloud Engineer to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Public Cloud Engineer at Marsh, you will have a strong background in cloud-based system administration, automation, security, and troubleshooting to support our business-critical applications and services.
We will count on you to:
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources such as compute, storage, networking, and databases on AWS with Azure or OCI.
- Monitor the health, performance, and utilization of cloud environments, and proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Configure and secure Amazon S3 buckets with encryption, versioning, lifecycle rules and bucket policies.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, manage identity and access (IAM), and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Plan and execute cloud migrations, upgrades, and expansions.
- Optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to support application deployments and integrations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support cloud initiatives and incident response.
- Provide support for existing on-premise Nutanix and VMware Horizon VDI environments
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a cloud administrator with hands-on experience in AWS with Azure or OCI.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell.
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, VNETs, subnets, firewalls, DNS) in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Azure or OCI monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Advanced Level of English is a Must
