Key Position Details:

** Hybrid role **

  • Must be located within commuting distance of the Allina Commons in Minneapolis, MN.
  • Training will be conducted onsite at the Commons and occasionally at other Allina Health locations.
  • On average, onsite training will occur 2 or 3 days per week.
  • This can vary from week to week based on the training schedule.
  • 1.0 FTE, 8-hour shifts, no weekends
  • This position will support training for Allina RNs - prior RN experience is strongly preferred
  • Responsible for supporting RN and other clinical new hire orientation
  • Facilitating clinical skills and clinical based training
  • 2 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in Learning and Development required.

Job Description:

Facilitates engaging and impactful learning experiences in a variety of settings using adult learning and facilitation best practices. Creates a positive learning environment and maintains consistent and effective communication with learners and customers across the system. Collaborates with cross-functional teams in Learning and Development and across the organization for content development, implementation, evaluation, and to ensure content remains up to date. Participates in Learning Delivery implementation activities and on project teams.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Learning Delivery
    • Facilitates engaging and impactful learning experiences in a variety of settings for clinical and non-clinical roles across the system. Learning experiences may include but are not limited to technical training, clinical education, simulation, new employee orientation, etc.
    • Creates a positive learning environment.
    • Knowledgeable of adult learning and skilled in learning facilitation best practices.
    • Evaluates learner performance and manages the effectiveness of content delivery.
    • Assists with Learning Delivery tasks associated with learning programs such as facilitator onboarding, development and maintenance of system training environment, simulation equipment needs, scheduling needs, etc.
  • Analysis, Documentation, and Implementation
    • Collaborates with Learning and Development centers of expertise for consultation, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
    • Identifies and explores ways to improve content and facilitation. Shares feedback and suggestions regarding facilitation best practices with Learning Design.
    • Collaborates with stakeholders and Learning Designers to ensure content is up to date.
    • Participates in Learning Delivery implementation activities including but not limited to planning, testing, pilot facilitation and train the trainer.
  • Customer Management and Support
    • Maintains positive, consistent, and effective communication with team members, learners, and departments across the system.
    • Provides learner support as needed for go-lives, major system, and workflow changes.
    • Understands and follows the escalation and change management processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, nursing, or related field or applicable work experience
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Learning and Development


Preferred Qualifications

  • May have expertise in education, business area, clinical area, or systems training
