Summary:
As a Program/Project Management Lead, you will lead business and technology outcomes for assigned program, project, or contracted service. You will leverage standard tools, methodologies, and processes to deliver, monitor, and control service level agreements. Your typical day will involve overseeing the progress of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform
- Responsible for team decisions
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams
- Manage project timelines and deliverables
- Identify and mitigate risks
- Ensure adherence to project budgets
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates
- Facilitate effective communication between team members
- Implement project management best practices
- Identify areas for process improvement
- Mentor and guide junior professionals
Financial Knowledge:
• Sound understanding of Retirement space- at least in 2 areas – Institutional Servicing (remittance services, plan management, sponsor management), Distributed Transactions (Money In - Money Out , Transaction Mgmt, accumulation-deaccumulation), Offer Selection and Mgmt (Onboarding (plan/sponsor/participant, setup & change ), Education & Advice (Retirement advisory, Financial Wellness), Participant management, Account Management ( Customer Profile, Customer Account information, Saving and Investing), reporting, customer service, Annuity Servicing, Engagement & Distributions (Enrollment and Onboarding), Financial products ( Defined Contributions, Lifetime Investment Solutions) Marketing ( Messaging and Communications).
• Good understanding of some of the topics:
o Types of retirement accounts: IRAs, 401(k)s, Roth IRAs, pensions, and health savings accounts (HSAs).
o Tax implications: Understanding of tax laws and regulations related to retirement savings and distributions.
o Investment strategies: Familiarity with investment vehicles, asset allocation, and risk management strategies suitable for retirees.
o Estate planning: Basic understanding of estate planning concepts and their impact on retirement assets.
o Products and Services: understanding of Retirement product offerings, including annuities, investment accounts, life insurance, and retirement planning tools.
o Plan rules and regulations: Knowledge of plan specific rules, enrollment procedures, contribution limits, withdrawal options, and loan features.
o Compliance requirements: Understanding of ERISA, SECURE Act 2.0 and other regulatory requirements governing retirement plans.
Professional & Technical Skills:
• Prior experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience working with agile teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Rally.
• Familiarity with software development processes and technologies.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to drive product improvements.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards a common goal.
