Job description

Successful candidates will join dentsu’s Cyber Security team and will focus on helping secure environments across our global business.  In this role, you will be responsible for helping define security measures and maintain security platforms across a variety of enterprise and development environments.  
 

You will work closely with security platforms, SOC, security architects and developer teams to integrate security tooling and platforms, ensuring a secure and resilient infrastructure.   

 

An ideal candidate would have a proven track record in both enterprise security tooling and DevSecOps processes, including multi-cloud security, code & secret scanning, container security etc. This role is suited to someone who would enjoy helping develop new internal capabilities and embrace the challenge of implementing and supporting these in a variety of different environments and technologies across the global business.   

 

We are hiring for multiple engineering roles specialising in one, or more, of the following while supporting other platforms as a secondary priority.  
 

Key Accountabilities 

Primary focus areas: 

  • Web security, including the configuration and management of enterprise browsers  
  • SIEM & EDR, including detection engineering, connectors and log ingestion,  
  • Data Protection and Governance, including Data Labeling and DLP 
  • Automation and Data Processing, including Business Intelligence reporting 
  • DevSecOps, including secure CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, secret scanning, SCA and automated static and dynamic application security testing (SAST). 

Secondary generalised focus accross the following: 

  • Implement and maintain enterprise security platforms, as well as custom environment-specific tooling.   
  • Leverage Azure-native security offerings to support and automate security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.  
  • Collaborate with SOC, vulnerability management, security architects and DevOps teams to validate findings, enhance cloud security posture and enforce compliance.  
  • Document, identify and train teams to ensure seamless handover of operational responsibilities post implementation, whilst providing L2/L3 support across multiple environments/teams when required.   

 

Professional skills 

Depending on primary focus, prior experience in the following platforms would be favourable: 

  • Enterprise security tools (Okta, Island Browser, Wiz, Sentinel, Defender, Cyera etc.) 
  • DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security (dependabot, detect-secrets, semgrep, trivy, Falco, Nuclei, SonarQube etc.) 

 

General security engineering skills required: 

  • Solid understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud platforms (ideally Azure) 
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Terraform etc.) for automating security tasks and building custom security and reporting solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of security principles and engineering practices across enterprise, cloud or development environments. 
  • Must possess excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and bridging personal knowledge gaps 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently, and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.  
  • Good presentation skills both verbal and written on both technical and non-technical information  
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), DevSecOps Practitioner, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer etc.)
