Requirements:
A qualified faculty member in Information Technology Support (ITSP) meets the program standard through one of four routes:
1. Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program
2. Possesses an earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program
3. Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
4. Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:
ITSP 135 Course Standard:
A qualified faculty member teaching ITSP 135 meets the Information Technology Support (ITSP) program standard (above) and holds a valid, non-expired CompTIA A+ certification or CompTIA Network+ certification.
ITSP 215 Course Standard:
A qualified faculty member teaching ITSP 215 meets the Information Technology Support (ITSP) program standard (above) and holds a valid, non-expired CompTIA Mobility+ certification, CWNP’s Certified Wireless Network Administration certification, CWNP’s Certified Wireless Network Professional certification, or is a current Cisco Academy Instructor with the Wireless course qualifications.
