As an Engineering Manager at PayPal-Braintree, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of engineering initiatives, balancing quality with speed. You will be helping engineers on the team develop in their career trajectory, maximizing their potential, while instilling PayPal's core values.

Meet Our Team:
The Network Tokens team delivers improved authorization rate for our merchants through the use of the Network Token functionality provided by major credit card networks and processors. You will help lead a high performing team of dedicated software engineers, working primarily in Ruby on Rails, operating in a typical Agile manner. The team is self motivated and cohesive and will welcome an engineering manager who knows when to dig deep into technical concerns and when to get out of the way.

PayPal-Braintree boasts the industry's best authorization rate among our competitors. As the Engineering Manager of the Network Tokens team, you will help maintain and even increase auth rate for all our merchants. You will ensure the team can increase adoption, reduce friction in onboarding and processing, and facilitate new features in Network Token functionality. We have an exiting roadmap ahead as we help PayPal-Braintree continue to lead in the payments industry.

Your day to day:

·       Exhibit management skills to design, develop and deliver high impact initiatives for PayPal worldwide.

·       Responsible for end-end development life cycle of web products and features.

·       Manage the daily activities of the engineering team working on Agile scrum model.

·       Demonstrate high degree of people focus and be a team player who can collaborate effectively across various teams within PayPal with integrity and commitment.

·       Act as a bridge between product and technology teams and marry business needs with technology solves.

·       Demonstrate team and stakeholder management skills while meeting project timelines and delivery commitments.

·       Work closely with our integration teams and merchant partners to arrive at best-in-class payments experiences for our merchants.

·       Develop products that meet high standards of convenience, security, performance and reliability for our consumers and merchants.

·       Work closely with solutions architects, engineering leaders and the engineering team to deliver solutions for the customers.

·       Have strong business and technical vision and the ability to communicate this vision to multiple audiences.

·       Expected to manage a team of 5-10 engineers and constantly help them grow into strong professionals. Experience or Awareness of the payments industry is a big plus.

What you need to bring-

·       Demonstrated experience with building large-scale web software

·       Solid understanding of Web platforms, scripting technologies with keen focus on ease of use, security and performance.

• The ideal candidate is an individual with deep experiences in building customer facing products that involve mid-tier and backend components.

·       Strong Object-oriented programming knowledge in one of Ruby/Python

·       Working experience with databases such as MSSQL/ Oracle etc.

·       BSCS plus 7+ years / MSCS plus 5+ years of experience in software design, development and architecture.

-    Previous experience as an engineering manager - 1-2+ years of experience is highly desirable
