About Us – Freeman Health Essentials

Health Essentials is the area's preferred provider for home medical equipment and services. Accredited through the Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation (HQAA). Inside Health Essentials is a retail scrub shop providing scrubs, lab coats, shoes and medical equipment. ​

What You'll Do

Assess, troubleshoot, maintains and repairs patient owned as well as Freeman Health Essentials equipment. Installs vehicle carriers and serves as the backup to Equipment Education Tech. Assists in delivery of Group 2 power chairs and scooters. Analyzes, repairs and programs Group 2, Group 3 power chairs and scooters. Attends appropriate seminars and training sessions to keep current on maintenance and repair. Works with billing and customers regarding payment of services performed. Maintain and ensure compliance with FDA, FMCSA, DOT/HazMat, Pharmacy, OSHA and HQAA. Responsible for the monitoring and surveillance of safety and infection control issues. Monitor yearly calibration of testing equipment. Back up Dispatcher for routing the drivers for their daily deliveries.

Essential Functions

• Participates in taking call after hours as assigned.
• Functions as the Safety and Infection Control Officer as defined in work instruction for such.
• Train staff as required by FDA, DOT, HazMat, Fleet Safety Compliance, FMCSA, Transport Security, Oxygen and Regulatory Compliance and maintains record.
• Researches all patient complaints regarding oxygen and gives information to supervisor.
• Knowledge of Group 2 and Group 3 and scooter repairs and programming
• Oversees equipment repairs and cleaning of equipment by other staff when supervisor is not present.
• Work with other staff to make sure deliveries are completed in a timely manner when supervisor is not present.

Requirements

• Clean driving record.
• Current Missouri Class E or other state's equivalent driver's license.
