As a Sr Strategic Alliance Manager, you are responsible for establishing trustfully relationships and manage key Service Partners in EMEA, fully integrated with our end-to-end environment and solution, for supporting our Global Corporate clients for all their travel needs. This individual contributor role is focused on building and nurturing a strong relationship and developing senior-level contacts with our service partners, driving compliance to our global processes and guidelines, driving performance in delivering the best service to our customers.

The Sr Strategic Alliance Manager will be responsible for the coordination with our Amex GBT internal teams, i.e Operation, commercial, product and engineering, risk and compliance etc..

These responsibilities highlight the strategic role played in ensuring their compliance to our company requirements, guidelines, the integration of those key markets in global projects, product roadmaps, growth initiatives.

What You´ll Do on a Typical Day:

  • Nurturing Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure a stable and responsive collaboration
  • Performance Evaluation: Develop and implement partner performance evaluation metrics to assess and improve with the collaboration of our Vendor Management team, the service quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Cross-Functional Team Meetings: Organize and lead cross-functional team meetings to review partner performance, discuss challenges, and plan future procurement strategies
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of vendor transactions, contracts, and performance metrics in the company’s database
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all partner-related activities comply with regulatory and company standards. Onboard and maintain high risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues with partners.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise between the company and its vendors, ensuring smooth operations and communication.

What We´re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Partner or Vendor Manager or in a similar role within supply chain management.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess partner performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple vendor relationships and contracts effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including leading across multiple geographies, functions & time zones.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software, databases, and inventory management systems.
  • CRM Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with Salesforce.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, attend events, and network within professional and industry societies.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Uses appropriate communication methods to gain acceptance for products and services.
  • Market Awareness: Understands market/industry key competitors, challenges, technology, trends, and regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, including confident presentation, ability to take sophisticated information, present in an appropriate manner and level of detail, for consumption by a wide and varied range of stake holders.
