The Opportunity:

CACI’s growing Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is searching for an experienced Database Administrator supporting the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for senior level support of database systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. Candidates must have knowledge and experience in major relational database languages and applications, such as Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, Oracle, and Sybase.

  • Responsible for database server administration functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed environment.  Requires a strong technical foundation in database structure, configuration, installation, operation and maintenance.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to pay keen attention to detail, possess a strong customer service orientation, and have the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Provide database administration (DBA) support services, to include Tier 2/3 level expertise, as well as the planning, implementation, and monitoring of patching services for physical and virtual solutions.

  • Troubleshoot database connection issues and build maintenance schemas. 

  • Monitoring and maintaining databases. Performing requested changes, updates and modifications to database structure and data. Ensuring technical modifications do not adversely affect database integrity, stability/performance, and system availability.

  • Implementing solutions for database backup and recovery infrastructure.

  • May provide work direction, guidance to others.


Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience

  • The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. 

  • Able to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. 

  • Experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. 

  • T Oracle, Sybase, or Microsoft SQL or similar certification 

  • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater) 


Desired:

  • ITIL v3 – Foundation 

  • SAFE Team certification 

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 

  • Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files 

  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs  

  • Experience working in VmWare ESXi environments 

  • Experience with network storage (SAN/NAS) 

  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions 

  • Prior NASA experience

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
