What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the daily operations of coding division including monitoring quality and quantity of workflow to ensure completion of work assignments
  • Serves as primary Coding department representative for resolution and improvement of revenue cycle initiatives/issues
  • Communicates with Director to support revenue cycle activities and key performance indicators
  • Ensures compliance with coding standards and government regulations
  • Maintains knowledge of coding and billing requirements and regulatory changes and acts as a resource to the coding and health information management staff
  • Assists in the development of coding and abstracting policies and practice standards
  • Oversees work assignments of system wide coding staff and adjusts work lists to accommodate volume and schedule changes
  • Identifies need for educational sessions in collaboration with audit team
  • Provides educational support and training of coding and documentation practices for all coding and clinical staff
  • Performs annual performance evaluations on staff
  • Shall understand and abide by the organizations’ information security policy and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information assets.
  • Shall report incidents related to security of information to concerned authorities.

What You Will Need:
Any Life science, Paramedical Graduates and Post Graduates

Minimum Experience: 4-5 years.

Basic Skill set:

Certified Professional Coder Certificate (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist- Physician based Certificate (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a related certificate required.

Current knowledge of ICD-9 CM, ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 coding, billing, medical terminology, and compliance standards required. 

Must have a proven record of good supervisory and excellent customer service skills.

Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form.

Ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks to support departmental needs.

Good computer skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
