You will hold P&L accountability for pricing, features, fees, profitability, and operational resilience.

This is a critical “Win for Today” role within the Everyday Banking team, advancing Personal Banking’s Empower 2030 goals: Exceptional Value Propositions and Scale & Efficiency—supported by a prudent risk culture. You will collaborate with “Transform for Tomorrow” programs and partners to future-proof the business and compete with traditional and non-traditional challengers.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Retail Payments & FX, you will lead a dynamic, high-performing team while fostering a culture aligned with the RBC Blueprint.

What will you do?

  • Lead Debit eCommerce Product Portfolio Management: Oversee Virtual Visa Debit and Interac Direct with full P&L accountability for strategy, execution, performance, risk management, and forecasting.

  • Design Client-Centric Strategies: Deeply understand client pain points, competitive landscapes, and market trends to create differentiated value propositions that drive growth and satisfaction.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Enterprise Payments, Cards & Loyalty, Commercial Banking, Operations, Risk, Digital, Marketing, and Technology teams to align on shared goals and optimize client experiences.

  • Execute Strategic Roadmaps: Translate vision into actionable plans with defined KPIs, MVPs, and iterative launches, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.

  • Develop Financial Business Cases: Analyze market insights, validate demand, engage external partners, and collaborate with marketing to assess viability and recommend enhancements.

  • Own End-to-End Risk Management: Manage reputational, regulatory, and strategic risks; lead fraud prevention and mitigation strategies with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives: Act as accountable owner for Retail Debit eCommerce in product initiatives, formulating strategic recommendations and optimizing P&L impact.

  • Monitor Industry & Competitor Trends: Benchmark RBC’s performance, maintain awareness of economic trends, and manage product impact through regular industry analysis.
