Job Description:

We are seeking a Client Reporting Analyst to join our Client Reporting Department within the Institutional Investment Management Operations Team located in Pune, India. The analyst role will assist the Client Reporting Department in servicing the reporting needs of the firm’s institutional clients. A large focus of responsibility is managing the report automation project leveraging the Vermilion reporting tool. In supporting this mandate, the business analyst is also responsible for analyzing data requirements and maintaining data integrity between reporting platforms. The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The business analyst’s key job responsibilities time will be devoted to customized reporting automation and development, where they will be involved in the following activities:
• Gathering and communicating requirements to report developers.
• Prioritizing, tracking and reviewing custom reports through all phases of development.
• Data analysis and quality control in regard to new custom reports as well as enhancements.
• Custom reporting user acceptance testing.
• Assisting with custom reporting ad-hoc data requests and issue resolution.
• Supporting other internal business users of Vermilion.
• Updating process documents.
• Building out workflow’s schedules for the scope of deliverables.
• Contributing to vendor application version upgrades.

The strategic plan for the reporting group includes transitioning to and developing a new client reporting platform while retiring current reporting applications and tools. • The business analyst will learn about AB’s equity, fixed income portfolio analytics and characteristics client reports along with advanced performance attribution. The business analyst will have hands-on experience on a variety of fixed income, equity and derivative securities and products. They will gain an in-depth knowledge of industry standard data points and sources.
• The business analyst will be able to improve their time management skills and gain more exposure working within a team. The business analyst will gain exposure to the fixed income business as the clients investing in our fixed income products require the most complicated reporting support. They will work on their time management skills as they will need to work on and manage multiple tasks/projects/deliverables at one time.
• The business analyst will be able to improve their communication skills as they will have frequent contact with other groups within the firm to provide information and resolve issues. They will be able to work on communicating effectively to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
• The business analyst will have the opportunity to improve their project management skills as they will organize project meetings, collaborate with data owners, coordinate testing efforts, monitor the progress of report automation in Vermilion and track the status of each individual report using JIRA. The business analyst will also gather statistics and share metrics as requested.
Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following): Qualifications, Experience, Education:
• Post Graduate degree preferably in business related discipline
• 2-4 years of work experience in a function that has some related financial analysis or use of analytical skills.
• Previous internships working in financial services Skills:
• Knowledge of multiple asset classes and how they can be used in portfolios
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time management, communication and attention to detail.
Special Knowledge (if applicable):
• The candidate should be able to communicate effectively, work well in a team setting, and be able to effectively handle changes with a positive outlook.
