Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Sector Strategic Planning Manager to join the Strategic Planning & Development team, which is part of the sector’s Strategic Growth organization.  This role will have multifaceted responsibilities across several key aspects of strategy to include:

  • Creates strategy performance, pipeline and growth analytics
  • Develop data-driven analyses to support strategy development for the mission systems portfolio
  • Manages Salesforce CRM tool as sector Salesforce Product Owner
  • Supports other strategic planning efforts including, Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures (MA&D) activities and partnerships

The selected individual will have performance and pipeline analytics as their primary focus.  This includes regular reporting up to the sector president on key aspects of Strategic Growth data to include backward facing metrics such as capture and win rates, near-term forecasts as well as long-term pipeline outlooks.  This also includes serving as the subject matter expert within Strategic Growth for pulling data from Salesforce to apply to a variety of questions and data calls.

As the sector Salesforce Product Owner, you will oversee the sector Salesforce Administrator and be responsible for adjudicating best practices and policies concerning the use of the tool across the sector.  You will also liaise with your peers in other sectors to ensure the tool continues to evolve and maintain the highest levels of commonality across the enterprise.

MA&D responsibilities will include managing the process flow of potential companies of interest from corporate, working with the divisions to identify potential targets, and valuation and data collection in support of potential acquisition actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience, or a master’s degree and 8 years in Business Development Operations or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Northrop Grumman Salesforce environment and management reports
  • Strong analytical, statistical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), problem-solving, excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function independently
  • Familiarity with MA&D activities including financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data management and analysis skills with working knowledge of Tableau
  • Knowledge of and experience in Northrop Grumman Mission Systems business areas, including business models, structure and programs  
  • Strong business acumen: ability to clearly communicate recommendations and analysis to senior level leadership
  • Understanding of U.S. and International government acquisition processes
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Current DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance

Salary Range: $156,800.00 - $246,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
