Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including driveline, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, suspension, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Assist with NASCAR inspection process.
Responsible for making suspension and drivetrain changes as needed.
Responsible for installing the engine, gear, and transmission.
Examine all key parts, including belts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Examine vehicle components to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions.
Repair, replace, and adjust brakes.
Repair or replace parts such as gauges, gears, blowers, and bearings.
Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
