IT Field Services Technician – Regional NSW (Mining Sector)

DXC Technology delivers mission‑critical IT services that keep essential industries running. We support some of Australia’s largest mining operations through secure, reliable, and high‑performing Managed Services.
We are currently building a talent pool of IT Field Services Technicians to support mine sites across regional NSW. This is a drive‑in / drive‑out (non‑FIFO) role, providing hands‑on onsite support in operational mining environments.
Role Purpose
As an IT Field Services Technician, you will be the onsite face of DXC, delivering high‑quality IT support that ensures the availability and continuity of systems relied on by mine operations.
This role is focused on end‑user computing, infrastructure support, and service request fulfilment within a Managed Services framework. You will work closely with site personnel and DXC’s remote delivery teams to resolve incidents efficiently and in line with agreed SLAs.
The role also requires an understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments, enabling you to work safely and effectively around production systems. While you will not be responsible for OT systems, you must understand where IT and OT intersect and follow strict escalation, access, and change‑control processes.
