POSITION:           Warehouse Runner

DEPARTMENT    Catering/Concessions

REPORTS TO:     Food & Beverage Manager

FLSA STATUS:    Non-Exempt Part Time Hourly

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Warehouse Runner at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Under the direction of Food & Beverage Manager & Director of Food & Beverage, the Part Time Runner team member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities   

  • Accurately count inventories into and out of warehouse.
  • Transport packaged food and beverage products to designated facility.
  • Transport food replacement for concession stands.
  • Ability to lift multiple times while loading and unloading products in appropriate locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintains clean work environment within all food and beverage locations.
  • Actively walk convention center/theater floor for delivery of required inventory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, manager and management.
  • Communicate activities during shift at the end of shift with management.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position.
  • Position requires the ability to work at both Shreveport Convention/Municipal Auditorium Shreveport Louisiana
  • Must attend all departmental and venue training classes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to effectively use a two-way radio
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check that meets corporate minimum requirements.
  • Must be able to pass an MVR background check that meets corporate minimum requirements
  • Teamwork oriented -- cooperative and positive attitude is a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to easily adjust to changing priorities.
  • Basic math, ability to accurately count
  • Ability to lift repeatedly
  • Knowledge of concession/bar products a plus
  • Must speak and understand English

Supervisory Responsibilities    None

       

Working Conditions

  • The working hours are scheduled based on the needs of the facility. PART-TIME ON-CALL scheduling.
  • There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled.
  • Maintain a client service-oriented attitude.
  • NON-SLIP SHOES REQUIRED.

Education and/or Experience        

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge of Banquet Event Order (BEO) preferred
  • Must be able to obtain an ABO Card and LATC Permit
