Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. Within RBS domain sits Wealth and Private (W&P) comprising of Commonwealth Private, Wealth Partnerships and Guidance & Investing businesses. Do work that matters

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be required to work with multiple Product Owners and stakeholders within and across the team to deliver customer outcomes and business-led change. More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Managing complex initiatives, at times spanning multiple squads, to help achieve the strategic objectives of the Crew

  • Effectively manage relationships and communications with stakeholders

  • Structure the team for success incorporating required skills from within the Group and sourcing resources from delivery partner organisations

  • Communicate and report delivery activities, timelines, impacts and implications to team members, stakeholders and customers

  • Develop robust and achievable project plans to manage the delivery of quality outcomes

  • Inform and influence decisions relating to Crew outcomes

  • Track and manage activities, dependencies and deliverables to achieve agreed outcomes

  • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party suppliers

  • Apply and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the project’s impact (on people, process and technology) within the Group

  • Participate in the overall development of the Delivery Practice

  • Manage organisational change requirements with the business and OCM professionals

  • Evaluate effectiveness of project management tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Identify, monitor and implement controls to mitigate key risks on the project

  • Manage and resolve any potential conflict whilst facilitating all aspects of stakeholder relationships

We’re interested in hearing from people who

  • Have previously managed business-led initiatives within Wealth Management or relationship managed businesses.

  • Proven delivery experience working on large and complex initiatives with high degree of oversight from senior stakeholders.

  • Are a strong influencer and driver of an initiative; you will need to influence and gain buy-in from multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Have extensive experience in both waterfall and agile practices – e.g. working in an advanced / structured Agile environment, conducting ceremonies, retrospectives etc.

  • Have led the delivery of initiatives spanning multiple delivery teams / squads / scrum teams.

  • Have knowledge and experience in using industry recognised project management and/or solution delivery methodologies.

  • Effectively manage relationships and communications with program stakeholders, including customers and program or project delivery teams (including both business and IT teams)
