We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health Operations team at Mercer.
This role will be based in GGN / Noida. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Maanger / Lead Specialist – US H&B Consulting
We will count on you to:
- Assist lead consultants in serving our clients by reviewing client needs, recommending suitable approaches, and helping implement benefit program strategies
- Become steeped in the details and documentation of a clients’ current state of US healthcare benefit and group programs, such as plan designs, healthcare cost factors, the carrier contract marketing and renewal processes, compliance reporting and open enrollment periods
- Draft and structure communications and collateral such as client emails, proposals, letters, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Analyze, benchmark and compare and contrast healthcare data and then interpret results and present insights to the core team
- Aid in developing open enrollment benefit guides
- Engage with client vendors regarding client deliverables, documentation and data, and issue resolution
- Project manage and coordinate with internal stakeholders from specialty teams and centers of excellence to stay on top of client deliverables
- Coordinate with actuaries to ensure they have all data required for their underwriting and that their inputs are accurately captured in client materials
- Monitor day-to-day client interactions and offer support or escalate appropriately
- Support with client compliance requirements
- Manage and maintain client documentation and data files
- Use Mercer’s proprietary tools, templates and best practices
- Interact daily with US-based core client team members
- Peer Review of the work done by Global Analyst (Level C)

What you need to have?
- Prior 8+ years of work experience in US Healthcare and Benefits background.
- Relevant Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience and success in consulting a client during implementations OR ongoing relationship management along OR design/management of group health and welfare plans gained in a consulting, brokerage or carrier environment.
- A bachelor's degree with concentration(s) in business, math, statistics, economics, public health, and/or other related field is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with an aptitude for presentation design and storytelling
- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with the ability to articulate useful and noteworthy insights
- Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships; some experience in growing relationships with current clients
- Superior organizational skills & Flexibility to work under tight deadlines and changing client needs
- Intellectual curiosity; seeking opportunities to develop new skills and to deepen knowledge of the US Healthcare industry
- Ability to work in teams and independently across multiple clients
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
- Strong Project Management skills, with an ability to follow multiple work streams and an understanding of how tasks fit into larger deliverables
- Good to have Client experience with a consulting company, insurance company, brokerage or in the health and benefits or health exchange discipline
- Ability to travel as needed
