Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Leader of Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level K) based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
This role will have responsibilities for WIP, Fitted Parts, LMI, MRSA and Tool Management across the Boeing South Carolina 787 site. The individual in this role must be a leader who leads with integrity always prioritizing people, safety, and quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees
Works with urgency and makes decisions weighing business goals and employee’s needs
Effectively communicates company and business unit goals, objectives and priorities
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to work over weekends and holidays as needed
3+ years of formal/informal leadership experience
3+ years of experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
1+ years continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience
1+ years of experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2+ years of work in or significantly integrated with Materials Management or Supply Chain
2+ years of background experience in finance, procurement/purchasing, and/or industrial engineering
1+ years of project management experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
Previous experience as manager or team lead

Summary pay range: $101,150 - $136,850
