POSITION SUMMARY:
Training Specialist - Sales will be responsible for providing sales associates with training and knowledge to effectively prepare them for their careers with LocumTenens.com and to support continuing education needs.
They will serve as a mentor to newly promoted associates and provide advanced training and coaching of critical skills to support associates during job transitions. They will provide feedback and assist in the design and implementation of training programs and provide guidance on complex challenges and scenarios faced by sales/production associates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Facilitation and Coaching - 90%

  • Manages various in-person and virtual training sessions in order to prepare associates for the Account Executive level
  • Supports company change initiatives, including innovation and technology rollouts
  • Tasked with staying abreast of nuances and changes to their area of focus within the company
  • Shares best practices for building high-performing teams across divisions
  • Assigns targeted learning resources, as needed
  • Manage all aspects of training/coaching sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and tracking employee participation
  • Maintain and update training resources and content as needed
  • Prepares classrooms and meeting rooms for in-person training sessions
  • Operates in-classroom technology in preparation for an ILT (audio, video, screens, microphones, etc.) 
  • Supports other L&D Specialists during training, coaching or facilitation initiatives, as needed

L&D Coordination and Communication - 10%

  • Provides L&D Management with feedback regarding individual associate training and progress
  • Partners with L&D Managers to seek and provide feedback, including associate hiring managers and other company leaders, as needed
  • Seeks evaluation, data and feedback and reports on findings and trends, making recommendations as needed
  • Maintains training and participation reporting for L&D Management
  • Creates and delivers progress reports for trainees, as needed
  • Creates and manages learning databases and trackers, as needed
  • Generates various reports, as needed

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • May work on special projects or other duties as assigned
  • Serve as back-up to as needed to the L&D department   

SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY

  • N/A

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ year of sales experience required
  • 1+ years Sales Training/Facilitation/Learning & Development experience preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience required
